Q: I'm a general contractor, and we are applying Cat 5 Rain Screen to new concrete walls on the exterior of a house. We use the product often on plywood sheathing and wanted to check on whether there's any special cleaning or prep needed to apply to concrete?

A: The concrete must be in place for 3 to 7 days and be free of any curing compounds or form release agents. We also recommend that any mortar joints be cured a minimum of 3 days. Otherwise, just make sure the surface is clean and free of any contaminants. No special cleaner is needed; the concrete just needs to be clean.
